I dunno what to do.
Just going thru wat I need to get done before CNY so I can get my mind off what is happening.
I dunno what to do.
My heart is racing.
My vision is blurred a little.
I am about to break down but yet I cannot.
I dunno what to do.
I feel helpless here.
What is happening???
There is nothing I can do now, is there? What can I do?
He is going to be ok?
What if something happens??!?
I dunno what to do.
I dunno what to do.
I DUNNO WHAT TO DO...

The Chronicles of the New Year: The Holiday, The BBQ and The Birthday (Part2)
Now...after the New Year...everything is really a blur to me except the events which I took photos of.
Let's see...The 2nd day of January was when I met up with Debs, Amy and Chua again for lunch. My sis joined us this time round. It was supposed to be a pot-luck at Deb's but cos of the lack of numbers...we went to a Hong Kong style Cafe instead. The food was good nonetheless.
The same evening, I met Dao and Yolanda for dinner at Swensons in the city. It was good seeing Yolanda after soooooo long siah...it was madness.

Met up with Justin 2 days later to go to the National Museum. It was great fun. And since both of us have not been around for so long...it really felt like a tourist thing to do la...hehehe...fuuuun.
But I didn't get to finish going round every section of the exhibit. Got round to The Japanese Occupation only and time ran out. UGH! I planned to return another day to finish the rest but that day just never came.
But to sum up...it was great to go through the history of my home all over again. But instead of boring textbooks, the exhibit was more like an adventure that peaks your interest and reveals marvels. It was GREAT. I definitely learnt alot.

On Monday night, I went to an Accapella performance by a Norwegian (or was it Swedish) group. The singing was ok but spending time with Debs was the fun part I guess. It has been so long. I also forgot how fun it was. We had supper at the food place beside the Esplanade (don't go there...cheat money one) and I found interesting items to eat. Finally get to eat my Sambal Stringray and the highlight: Kaya Fondue...LOL
*****
The rest seems to be a jumbled memory of what I did. Definitely not in the correct order.
We (Me, Anthony, Karyn & Justin) went to watch My Fair Lady with Doris T & Family on one of the nights. It was good. LOVED how they made fun of the English Language. And of course...it was surreal cos the theme was so...modern Singapore. Social Divides, Language Problems...lol

Also met up with Kent & Serene for dinner. Weixin and Wendy also joined us and we ended up at this Vietnamese place beside Raffles Hotel. Not bad, the food. Catching up with this gang really brings back memories. I mean...we were housemates back in Brissy for a long time. It felt really comfortable with them around.
Also had a chance to meet Darrell a couple of times while I was back and also Joseph and Jasmine. SIGH...It's all because all them and everyone else that makes me think of returning to Singapore. Perhaps one day I will...once I know I can survive back there.
The final 'big' thing I did while on my holiday was to watch Chestnuts. FINALLY ok! EVERY year they show it when I am in Brissy. This year...they pushed it back and I even had to change my flight to catch the preview show. But it was GREAT la! So Farnie!!!!!!!
SIGH...Why do I have to leave?!?!?

And so ends my trip back home. With lotsa memories (albeit jumbled up), lotsa pictures, and lotsa love.

AUSTRALIA DAY BBQ
Yeah! After one terrible week of bring back in Brissy and getting back into the grind of work, came the preparation for Australia's National Day. Jeff, Mervyn, Lindz and myself decided to have an Aussie Day BBQ to celebrate this country's Birthday and also have an excuse to gather people together again.
It was fun having everyone at one place again to catch up, spend time, and enjoy each other's company. It guess this is the closest you can get to family over here in a foreign land.
We ate our fill, chatted till the cows came home and then retreated home for rest. With Jeff, Joel and I finishing the day with a couple of game of DOTA. ROFL

Ah! The Final Chapter of this Adventure.
Nadia's Birthday Drinks
This day finally arrived after 2 weeks of 'planning' and 'shopping'. LOL
We got ourselves a double booth at Alhambra for Nadia and her friends. The problem was that I was so shacked by the week...I was falling asleep before we even reached.
Had dinner with Jeff (who flew off to SG that night) and Justin (who offered to drop some of us off at the nightclub) first. Nadia seemed to have a great time that night. I got her a Champagne Royale which didn't come together very well cos alot of it bubbled over the counter. ##%^&*&^ Stupid Bartender #$^%$&
We (and in we I meant the girls) drank ourselves silly and I was just sitting there stoned out and falling asleep la. So loser...lol
I went home early and caught my Zs but not before having a great time unwinding after a long week and spending time celebrating the birthday of a good friend.

The Chronicles of the New Year: The Holiday, The BBQ and The Birthday (Part1)
Wow...it HAS been a while since I updated indeed.
Lindsay put on Hitchhiker's Guide last night and this line stuck like crazyglue:
"The one. The only question I've ever wanted an answer to - is she the one? The answer bloody well isn't forty-two, it's yes. Undoubtedly, unequivocally, unabashadly yes. And for one week, one week in my sad little blip of an existence, it made me happy."
And I just recalled that I haven't blogged about the Xmas party we had last year...will do so in a future entry.
Oh well...let's go onto the updates shall we?

So where were we? So yes! The Holiday! (Not the movie, that I still wanna watch but have to wait for the DVD now [sobs])
I have to admit that alot of things that happened when I was away feels fuzzy and distant already. I probably will omit things that I originally wanted to write about but hey...it was a holiday. I didn't want to spend all my time writing...Hahaha.
Let's see...the day I arrived back home, it rained. It rained like there was no tomorrow and my mom told me that it was worse the week before. Amazing! I got home, relaxed a little, and rushed down to CTK for Christmas Midnight (at 11pm ironically) Mass. It was so good being back but yet...the place is very alien. After mass, we proceeded to Stacey's for supper and it was good catching up with her and her family and Josh. It feels like ages ago since we last met to have a chat (oh yes...it was a year ago!)
Now...I cannot recall the rest of the holiday to an exact degree but it revolves firstly going to Sim Lim to get a new portable HDD for my sis, help Gavin pick out some hardware and getting myself a new point-and-shoot Camera. Heh. And most (if not all) the pictures in this entry were taken on this new toy.

And on the same day, I had dinner with Dao, Ryan, Diana and Gina. And then desserts at some Japanese place where Weixin and Wendy joined. It was soooo knackered after that...it wasn't funny siah.

There were plans made to meet up with Nat, Debs, Amy, Chua and Glenn but Glenn wasn't free on Friday so I had lunch with Glenn on Thurs instead. We went to a hawker centre near Tanjong Pagar MRT and I finally had my Kuay Chup! Slurp! He then took me around the shophouses in the area for a 'tour'. But the crappy thing was...IT RAINED!!! And especialy when we were in an area with no direct cover back to the underground. NOOOO!!!!! I got so drenched siah.
At this point, I wasn't feeling super anymore. In fact, I felt like my throat was killing me. But I ended up meeting some of the Barflies from CowBoyBar at J-Bar that same evening. I totally had a hard time speaking already at this point. We had a few drinks, I had pizza for dinner then went home. Everyone was so quiet but I guess they were shy? ROFL

Friday! I had lost my voice totally.
Our plan was to meet at Chinatown MRT and walk down to the street where all the good food was. Nat arrived shortly after me and when Debs arrived, we walked over first. Finally settled at XO Sliced Fish Been Hoon or something to that effect and ordered lotsa makan. Amy and Chua eventually arrived after getting LOST! HAHAHA.
Amy left first cos she had something else on so the rest of us just stayed around Chinatown to get desserts and drinks.

Finally, we decided to go to a KTV for some fun. If you're thinking: "KTV??? Didn't you lose your voice?", I won't blame you. But it felt like the funnest thing we can come up with (the other choice being chionging and some bar) so we went for it. All in all, it came up to become a great night of fun and memories (in picture form of course).

So New Year's Eve is finally here. We rented a room at The Elizabeth up Mount Elizabeth in the city to relax and have drinking and munchies to celebrate the new year. But before that, I met up with Shell and her hubby at ex-Marche Heeren for lunch. It was interesting meeting new people always. Shell was a ball of fun....hahaha.
After lunch, we walked over to the hotel so that I can check in and get ready for the festivities! The room was solid la...and cheap too! But the only thing was I ordered a room with 2 bed but it came with one gigantic king-sized bed. But that was ok.
The guys (Gav, Greg & Justin) eventually arrived and we had dinner at Taka. Sushi Tei I think...but it was a good dinner. We got our supplies, went back to the room and watched movies. Some of the girls from the CBB dropped in as well and we just hung out until the New Year came round. Was a little disappointed cos I thought there was going to be fireworks shown on TV but oh well....too bad I guess.
